A Note From Greg

I think change is all a matter of perspective. How one person accepts and adapts is different from another. I think about weather and seasonal changes. They are going to happen no matter what. We didn’t really have well defined seasons in South Florida. Summer was a time of fun. We would go out in the boat or go swimming in the bay. The best thing about summer was three months without school!! Summer, as in most areas of the country was fun. One thing we did not do was camping in the summer … [Read more...]

Be Strong and Courageous

Do not be afraid, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 3:16  This is the theme verse for our Vacation Bible School.  Our children and preschoolers will learn that God is with them always.  As a matter of fact, that is our Motto, “God is with me, now and forever.”  It is a very important lesson that we all need to learn or be reminded of.  God is always with us.  He is with us in the good times and He is with us … [Read more...]

I am sure that whoever thought of them lived in the subtropics and had a Basset Hound named Cleo that ate all the hidden Easter Eggs which had lost most of their color due to the … [Read more...]

Swimming With The Sharks

My Dad was a huge fisherman. We fished all the time. He loved to go lobstering. One time he took my brother and me to the Marquesas Islands (actually part of the Keys). It is 20 miles south of Key West. It’s not an easy place to get to because of 7 miles of open water where the Atlantic and Gulf mix called the Boca Grande Channel. The water around The Marquesas is relatively shallow and great for fishing and lobstering. My dad bought something called an “Aqua Buoy.” It was a gas powered … [Read more...]
